Embrace and respect the unique perspectives, experiences, and identities of fellow members. above all, practice kindness,Be considerate and supportive in all interactions. Negative or harmful language, discrimination, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Prioritize Safety and Well-being

We aim to foster a safe space, ensure that all participants feel secure, both emotionally and physically. This includes respecting personal boundaries, offering consent in collaborative activities, and maintaining confidentiality within the group. As cultures vary in different parts of the world, we honor and adapt to the customs, traditions, and sensitivities of the cultures we engage with during our travels.

Create Over Consume

Ríe Retreats encourages participants to step back from modern-day media consumption and embrace the joy of being present. Use technology minimally to foster deeper connections with your creativity and the group. Try to limit your digital distractions and focus on creative expression. Dedicate time to creating, whether through writing, art, music, photography, or any other medium. Share and celebrate your creations with the community.

Build Meaningful Connections

Engage in collaborative projects, workshops, or discussions. Offer constructive feedback and celebrate the work of others. That being said, while connection is key, understand that some members may need personal time to recharge or reflect. Honor their space and respect alone time.

Travel Consciously

Choose sustainable practices where possible and engage with local businesses, artisans, and cultural experiences to give back to the places we visit. Be mindful of your environmental impact by reducing waste, conserving resources, and leaving the natural and cultural sites we visit better than we found them.

Commit to the Experience

Prepare to be present, engage wholeheartedly in the retreat activities, immerse yourself in the creative and cultural experiences, and be open to new ideas and perspectives. We aim to follow the retreat schedule and ask you do the same, as well as honor the shared goals of the group, and communicate openly with facilitators if challenges arise.
