Our retreats start with a focus on wellness, because we believe creativity thrives when you’re feeling good inside and out. Each day begins with grounding practices like yoga, meditation, or pilates to help clear your mind and connect you to your body. From there, get ready to explore! We’ve designed adventures that immerse you in nature, whether that’s hiking to a stunning waterfall, walking through vibrant local markets, or horseback riding across breathtaking landscapes. Ríe, which means “laugh” in Spanish, embodies our philosophy: life is never that serious. We invite creatives from all over the world to rediscover their craft through cultural experiences, multidisciplinary workshops, and a supportive community.

meet our founder
Hello beautiful people! My name is Kourtney, and my love for art and travel has taken me to 40+ countries, solo traveling through Singapore, backpacking in Amsterdam, and sipping Turkish coffee in Istanbul. Growing up in Miami, surrounded by vibrant cultures and endless inspiration, I chased my passion for creativity all the way to London, where I studied photography and immersed myself in the global arts scene.
While traveling the world fueled my creativity, working in the fast-paced creative industry drained it. Burnout, hustle culture, and the endless grind left me craving something more—joy, connection, and inspiration without the pressure. That’s why I created Ríe Retreats: a place where young creatives can rediscover their passions, connect with like-minded people, and explore new ideas in breathtaking locations.
Ríe, which means “laugh” in Spanish, (and also part of my middle name Gab-ríe-la) is a reminder that life doesn’t have to be so serious. This is the community I wish I had during my most challenging moments—a space to create, connect, and explore the world with an open heart. I can’t wait to meet you and share these incredible experiences together.

To apply for a Ríe Retreat, simply fill out our application form, where we’ll ask you about your creative interests, dietary preferences, and what you hope to achieve during your retreat. This helps us ensure we curate the best experience for you. Please keep in mind that we're looking for guests who are ready to explore, create, and inspire—so if you’re only here to tick off a destination from your bucket list, we may not be the right fit for you. It’s all about authentic experiences and growth.

Yes! There’s a section on the application form to let us know if you’re applying with someone else. You’ll have the option to room together in double-occupancy accommodations.

Perfect! Most of our guests come solo and leave with lifelong friends. Ríe is all about building connections and creating a welcoming community.

Nope! While we encourage participation to fully experience the retreat, all activities and workshops are optional—you can join what feels right for you.

Absolutely. Safety is a top priority. We carefully vet all locations, accommodations, and experiences to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for all guests.

Once your application is submitted, we’ll review it and get back to you within a week. If selected, you’ll receive a confirmation email and an invoice with your non-refundable deposit*. Afterward, you’ll have the option to set up a payment plan to pay the remainder in monthly instalments up to 30 days before the retreat begins.
