cancellation policy

To reserve your place at Ríe Retreats, a non-refundable deposit is required upon application. This deposit serves to confirm your spot, secure accommodations, and reserve your place in all planned activities. Please be aware that the deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, as it ensures the retreat's operational and logistical needs are met.

If you find it necessary to cancel, you must notify us in writing at least 60 days prior to the retreat start date. Cancellations made within this 60-day period are non-refundable. However, in exceptional circumstances such as a serious illness, injury, or personal emergency, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial refund or credit toward a future retreat, depending on the individual situation. Refunds or credits, if offered, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and any credit granted must be used within 12 months of the cancellation date.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise, so we encourage you to secure travel insurance at the time of booking to protect against unforeseen circumstances. Travel insurance can provide coverage for a variety of situations, including illness, injury, and unexpected travel disruptions. If you opt not to purchase travel insurance, please be aware that Ríe Retreats will not be responsible for any associated travel costs, medical expenses, or cancellations due to personal emergencies.

In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel, we do not offer the option to transfer your spot to another participant. As our retreats are application-based, all bookings are personalized and confirmed based on individual applications, which means each retreat has a limited number of spots available. However, if you need to cancel your participation, we may allow you to defer your spot to a future retreat, depending on availability. This option is not guaranteed and is subject to approval based on your individual circumstances and the capacity of upcoming retreats.

In the case that Ríe Retreats must cancel or reschedule the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, health risks, or other force majeure events), you will be given the option to receive a full refund or transfer your booking to a future retreat. Ríe Retreats is not responsible for any travel-related expenses, such as flights, visas, or accommodations, that may be affected by the retreat's cancellation or rescheduling.
