Ríe Retreats began as a dream to redefine what creativity could look like in a world that glorifies hustle culture and burnout. It’s not just about escaping the grind; it’s about rediscovering the joy of creation and connection in spaces that inspire. Growing up in Miami, Florida,

I was surrounded by the vibrant colors of Latin America—the vivid skies, endless oceans, and pulsating culture. It sparked a passion for creativity that carried me across the globe, eventually landing me in London, where I immersed myself in photography and the arts.

London became the bridge between my two great loves: travel and creativity. I found myself exploring new corners of the world every weekend—wandering through Marrakech’s souks, savoring Turkish coffee in Istanbul, backpacking through Amsterdam, and forming friendships in Singapore and Copenhagen. Every journey brought fresh inspiration, but more importantly, it connected me with people whose stories and experiences enriched my own. Travel became my greatest teacher, reminding me that creativity thrives when it’s nurtured in community and adventure.

Yet, the path wasn’t always easy. After working as a brand photographer in London’s fast-paced creative industry, I began to experience the toll of constant output. Even the most fulfilling work can lead to burnout, and I realized I wasn’t alone in that struggle. So, I took a leap—leaving my 9-to-5 behind to travel full-time, reconnect with my passions, and reimagine what life could look like. It was during this time that the vision for Ríe Retreats began to take shape: a space for creatives to pause, explore, and create without pressure or judgment.

At Ríe, we believe in breaking away from the everyday and stepping into environments that allow for new ideas to flourish. Our mission is threefold: to help creatives tackle burnout and creative blocks through cultural experiences and adventure; to foster a global community where people can network, connect, and inspire each other regardless of status or experience; and to offer opportunities for young creatives to rediscover their craft with fresh eyes.

The name Ríe, which means "laugh" in Spanish, encapsulates our philosophy: life is never that serious. Each retreat is a chance to lighten up, open your heart, and embrace the unexpected. We blend multidisciplinary workshops, cultural exploration, and moments of pure joy to create experiences that leave a lasting impact.

Our retreats are built for young creatives who want to reconnect with their passions, explore new perspectives, and be inspired by the world around them. Here, the goal isn’t perfection—it’s about trying new things, embracing playfulness, and finding beauty in the process.

HOW IT WORKS:

  • Visit our website to browse upcoming Ríe Retreats destinations and dates. Each retreat offers unique cultural experiences, creative workshops, and wellness activities in stunning locations like Medellín, Lefkada, Marrakech, and Rio de Janeiro.

  • Once you find your dream retreat, click the "Apply Now" button on the retreat page. Complete a short application form to help us learn about you, your interests, and your travel goals. Don’t worry—it’s quick, fun, and helps us curate the best experience for our community.

  • Our team reviews applications on a rolling basis. If approved, you’ll receive an email confirmation with next steps and instructions to reserve your spot. To officially join the retreat, you’ll pay the deposit outlined in your email confirmation. Flexible payment plans are available to make your trip stress-free.

  • While flights aren’t included, we’re here to help! We’ll share detailed arrival information and tips to help you book your flights. Arrive on the recommended dates to take advantage of group transportation.

    We’ll also send you a sugested packing list and travel guide tailored to your destination. Think comfy clothes for workshops, your favorite swimwear, and a sense of adventure.

  • Once you’re all set, you’ll get access to our private retreat group. Connect with fellow travelers, share travel tips and flight itineraries, and start building friendships before the trip even begins.

    From the moment you arrive, our team will take care of everything. Stay in gorgeous shared villas, enjoy local cuisine, and immerse yourself in curated activities that foster creativity, connection, and fun.

    After the retreat, stay in touch with your new friends and the Ríe community. You’ll also get access to exclusive discounts for future retreats and events.
